Stop practicing blindly.
No vague feedback — Just a forensic breakdown of your actual mistakes.
Every estimate names the band descriptor it matched and quotes the evidence from your own writing — a fixed marking matrix, not a black-box score.

Everything You Need to Improve Faster
Flashcards That Adapt to You
Every card comes from a mistake you actually made. Ladder revisits it at the right time, gets harder as you improve, and changes focus when another weakness costs you more marks.
No need to memorize, it's interactive, tailored for you.
The city park was quiet in the early morning. A few people walked their dogs while the sun rose behind the trees.

Four Modules, Real Conditions
Timed, navigable, and resumable
Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking in the exam's own format — section timers, review and flag, autosave, and a Speaking test with Part 1 exchanges, a cue card with one minute of preparation, and Part 3 follow-ups that respond to what you actually said.
A Study Plan Built From Your Errors
Rebuilt after every mock
From your first mock onward, practice reshapes around what is actually costing you marks. Flashcards drawn from your own mistakes rather than a generic wordlist, drills targeted at the criterion holding your band down, and spaced repetition scheduled per error.
Reading and Listening, Marked Like Test Day
No quietly inflated practice scores
Answers are matched exactly, with authored alternates and strict word limits — because the real exam marks a misspelled answer wrong. Where you had the right answer but the wrong spelling, we say so plainly instead of handing you a mark you would not get.
Pronunciation You Can Replay
Objective measurement, not a vague impression
Speech rate, pause ratio, run length and pronunciation accuracy are measured before any assessment begins. Play your answer back with the transcript synced, hesitations and repairs marked inline, and mispronounced words highlighted at the moment they occur.
IELTS Now. CELPIP, PTE and TOEFL Next.
One engine, exam-specific rubrics
Each exam brings its own rubric, descriptors and scale — because IELTS Coherence and Cohesion is not CELPIP Coherence, and assumed overlap gives anyone preparing for two exams confidently wrong advice.
Result: You stop guessing which part of your answer cost you the band — and start practising the two things that will actually move it.
FAQ
Every scoring configuration is validated against a set of expert-marked responses we never tune against, and it does not ship until it clears a fixed accuracy threshold. When the rubric, prompt or model changes, that whole set is re-scored before the change reaches you. Your result is labelled an estimated practice band — we are not the official testing authority, and we do not pretend to be.
No. The model never produces a band number. It reads your response, locates the evidence, and selects which descriptor each criterion matches — then the band is computed in code from a fixed marking matrix. That is why every score arrives with the descriptor and the evidence behind it, so you can check the reasoning instead of trusting a number.
Reading and Listening are marked the way the real exam marks them, spelling included. A generic "close enough" layer would quietly inflate your practice score and leave you surprised on test day. Where your answer was right but misspelled, we tell you explicitly — that is a teaching note, not a mark.
Your errors are logged with the evidence behind them, and your practice reshapes around them. Instead of a generic tip, you get "you lost marks here, in this essay, on this date" — flashcards built from your own mistakes, drills on the criterion holding your band down, and a weekly summary naming the two things worth fixing.
No, and anyone promising that is selling something else. What we can do is show you where your marks are going and aim your practice at it. Our estimate comes from a scoring engine we validate continuously — it is not a prediction of your official result, and it is not a substitute for sitting the real test.
Ladder reports an estimated practice band. We are not affiliated with the IELTS partners or any official testing authority, and our estimate is not an official result.
